The Story of Medusa 🐍

Medusa is a goddess of the sea, daughter of Keto and Phorkys and a descendant of Gaia, the Greek goddess of Earth and life. 

Medusa is often confused & not worked with due to the negative myths media have made up about her because they felt threatened by her power to turn people to stone. Medusas ability to turn people to stone just by looking at them, is actually a curse put upon her by Athena. Medusa dedicated her life to Athena and her temple of purity. Poseidon had a strong attraction for Medusa but she refused multiple times. Unfortunately Poseidon had chosen force to get what he wanted. When Athena found out Medusa was no longer pure, she was livid. She would never dare mess with Poseidon so she chose to take her anger out on the victim, Medusa instead. The curse she put upon Medusa had made people fear her and shun her. Regardless of people hating her, she held herself true to her heart to remind us to own our power and respect ourselves no matter what people think of you. She helps people find their deepest truths and reclaim their divine power. She offers protection and encourages strength.
